Montfort participated in a panel discussion regarding the impact of AIFMD on Europe from both a manager and investor perspective. Roman Pelka highlighted the fact that marketing under the national private placement rules in the major European fundraising jurisdictions (notably UK, Netherlands and Scandinavia) is the typical route for raising private equity funds today. In Switzerland the new CISA rules have entered into force.
