Roman Pelka is a member of Montfort's executive management team and supervisory board. Roman has been active in the alternative investment industry for over 17 years. Before founding Montfort Capital in 2009 he was a Managing Director at the Carlyle Group.
Gabriel Kurland is a member of Montfort’s executive management team. Gabriel has acquired a strong experience as a hedge fund specialist during the past 14 years. Prior to joining Montfort, he worked at Riva Capital, a Geneva based Fund of Fund, where he was head of research and risk management.
Christiaan de Lint is the independent chairman of Montfort’s supervisory board. Christiaan is a founder of Headway Capital, a firm specialsing in private equity secondary investments. Prior to Headway, Christiaan was part of the investment team of Coller Capital where he sourced, evaluated and closed private equity secondary investments.
Jerome Lussan is a member of Montfort’s supervisory board. Jerome is part of a rare breed of experts who can focus on legal and commercial issues all in one. With a vast knowledge and understanding of the regulatory, fiscal and legal requirements that affect the global asset management industry, he is able to combine that with the needs of the investors.
Emilie Thomas is a member of Montfort’s operations team. Before joining Montfort Emilie worked for the Canton of Wallis District’s Court of Entremont. Before that she completed a legal apprenticeship at the Swiss law firms Hertig & Marmy SA and Couchepin & Coudray SA. She received a bilingual law degree from the Universities of Basel and Geneva. Emilie is Swiss and speaks French, German and English.
Baptiste Pfefferle is a member of Montfort's Operations Team. Prior to joining Montfort Baptiste worked in the global financial compliance crimes team at J.P. Morgan (Suisse) as compliance analyst. He was responsible for AML monitoring, counter terrorism financing and sanctions screening for all booked activities. He holds a B.Sc. in Management from HEC Lausanne and a M.Sc. in statistics from the University of Neuchâtel. Baptiste is Swiss and fluent in French and English.
Anja Klanjscek is a member of the Montfort's Business Development team. Anja holds an LL.B from the European Faculty of Law in Nova Gorica. Anja is Slovenian and speaks Slovenian, English, German and Serbo-Croatian.
Sophie Winssinger is a member of Montfort’s operations team. Sophie started her career in 1996 in investment banking in London. She worked in the Leveraged Finance department at Bankers Trust and Morgan Stanley. She then joined Whitney & Co, one of the oldest US venture capital firms before moving to Charterhouse, a leading private equity firm investing in large European buyouts. She received her undergraduate business degree from the Université de Louvain-La-Neuve in Belgium with a one year finance specialization at Georgetown University. Sophie speaks French, English and German.
